Pronounce is a fashion brand based in Milan and Shanghai by a creative duo: Yushan Li and Jun Zhou. I met Yushan and Jun for the first time in Florence during Pitti Uomo some years ago and been adoring their work ever since. The past few seasons Pronounce showed their newest collections in London and each time, it has been one of my personal favorites during London Fashion Week Men’s. To me, the brand stands for tailored pieces and abstract silhouettes, always spiced it up with a hint of experimentalism.
Over the years I have been building a platform focusing on sharing inspiring and beautiful things with you, including fashion, architecture, travel, and art. I love discovering unique, new and unpredictable fashion and that was also the main reason why I started my personal project: Designer Stories, in collaboration with my favorite creatives. The project focuses on hand-picked designers with plenty of talent and passion. Each designer inspires me and deserves their stories to be heard.
This story features the Pronounce Autumn/Winter 19 collection shot by my talented partner and photographer Lucas at the Seven Sisters Cliffs near Eastbourne. The collection has many classic and traditional pieces such as blazers, trench coats, and suit trousers, but all presented in a very modern way with neon accents and details of distressed denim. The collection is the perfect balance between Italian tailoring and Chinese street style and the result proves that each piece stands out and speaks for itself.
